Stephen F. Austin's Demi Payne stole the show on day one of the Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the women’s pole vault. The junior NCAA record holder set another collegiate women’s outdoor pole vault record with an impressive jump of 15 feet, five and a half inches (4.71m). The leap was also the second highest outdoor pole vault recorded in the world this year. Payne now owns the two best outdoor vaults in NCAA history as she set the Southland outdoor record over 22.25 inches higher than the previous mark. |
